Epping Green Chapel — Easter Newsletter
Dear friends,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our risen Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
As we come to Easter, we rejoice in the glorious truth at the very heart of the Christian faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again. At Epping Green Chapel, we are honoured to uphold the authority of Holy Scripture, to magnify the Lord Jesus Christ, and to preach faithfully what the text says through expository preaching. Our desire in every gathering is the edification of the saints, the salvation of the lost, and the glory of God in all things.
Easter reminds us that the cross was not the end of the story. Our Lord Jesus Christ, having borne our sins in His body on the tree, was raised in victory on the third day. Therefore, we gather with joy, hope, and reverence, giving thanks for the triumph of Christ over sin, death, and the grave.

Zoom Bible Class — Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
Our online Bible studies are also going very well.
Join us each Thursday at 7:00 p.m. as we study God’s Word together.
Why We Gather
At the centre of our life together is the conviction that God speaks through His Word. Therefore, we read, explain, and apply Scripture each week, aiming to:
- Exalt Christ as Lord and Saviour;
- Edify the saints for holy living and faithful witness;
- Encourage seekers with the gospel of grace;
- Equip all to love God and neighbour.
If you are new, curious, or returning to church, you are very welcome among us. Easter is a wonderful time to come and see afresh what the Lord has done through His Son.
Our Easter Hope
At Easter, we remember not merely an event of the past, but a living reality in the present. Jesus Christ is alive. Because He lives, there is forgiveness for sinners, peace for troubled hearts, hope for the weary, and everlasting life for all who trust in Him.
The resurrection of Christ assures us that darkness does not have the final word, suffering is not ultimate, and death itself has been conquered. This is the hope we proclaim, and this is the hope we invite all to receive.
How You Can Pray
Please pray:
- That our fellowship would grow in faith, hope, and love;
- That the Holy Spirit would use the public reading and preaching of Scripture to renew minds and transform lives;
- That our Easter gatherings would clearly proclaim the beauty of Christ crucified and risen;
- That many would come to know the peace and power of the risen Lord.
We look forward to welcoming you during this Easter season.
Every blessing in Christ,
Pastor Athanasius
